    1.  Where and when are sign-ups?
         
Go to Jay & Mary's Book Center  -  through March 1st  (pay by check or cash)
            (1201-C Experiment Farm Rd., next to Fricker's - Troy)

    2.  Is a physical required?
         
No, a physical is not required.

    3.  What ages are allowed to join?
         
Boys and girls who are 5-15 years old before May 1st of the current season are allowed to join.

    4.  How much does is cost?
         
T-Ball cost is $80.  J-Ball, Minor and Major are $90.  Teener is $100.
            Families with more than 2 children will cap out at $225 - (this does NOT include Teener).

    5.  Which league will my child belong to?
            T-Ball (5-6 yr. olds)            J-Ball (7-8 yr. olds)            Minor (9-10 yr. olds)
                        Major (11-12 yr. olds)                 Teener (13-15 yr. olds)

   6.  How old do you have to be, to be an Umpire?
        
You have to be at least 11 years old to be an Umpire for TJB.  Training through TJB
           will be required.  Questions? Please contact our Umpire Coordinator listed on

   7.  When will I know what team my child is on?
         
Coaches will be contacted by TJB League Representatives before March drafts,
           which start the week of the 12th.
         Parents will be contacted by coaches soon after the drafts.

   8.  Do I have to purchase a uniform or equipment?
        
No, a team shirt, a pair of pants, a pair of socks, and a hat are included in the cost.
           Boys in J-Ball, Minor, Major, and Teener are required to wear a protective cup/jock strap.
        

         TJB will provide the coaches with team helmets and catchers gear for the season to share.
           Players are allowed to purchase and bring their own helmets and bats, as long as
           they meet the league requirements.  Please see TJB Rules for requirements.

   9.  Can I request a specific team?
        
All teams are "blind" drafted, except for T-Ball, where players are grouped by
           school or geographic location.

 10.  Who can become a coach?
        
Anyone 18 years or older wishing to become a coach, may.  There is a
          
Background Check Form that must be completed and approved before someone can
           become a coach.  The top part of the form must be filled out and then signed at the bottom. 
           Please print the form, fill it out and mail it to: TJB, PO Box 892, Troy, OH 45373. 
           Please DO NOT take the form to the Troy Police Dept. or Miami County Sheriff's Dept.,
           TJB will take care of this for you.
        There is also a coaching clinic that is required to become a coach.

 11.  How can I sponsor a team?
        
There are three ways you can sponsor a team:

 12.  How can I become a Board Member?
         
If you would like to be a TJB Board Member, you are welcome to join.  You may attend a meeting
            or let a current
TJB Board Member that you're interested and they can give you more information.

 13.  How long does the season last?
        
Team practices typically begin in mid to late March.  Opening day is April 28th.  The season
            usually goes to the end of June, pending make-up games and tournaments.
