The Major League Division is for players age 11-12.  Some 10 and 13 year olds may be allowed on a case by case basis.  Bases are 72 feet apart and the pitching rubber is set at 52 feet.  The games are played at the Troy Junior Baseball Complex in Troy, Ohio.  A hard ball is used.  Steel spikes are not allowed.  The season begins in late April and the league strives to be finished before the 4th of July.  Pre-season practice begins in late March.  Rosters are made up of 11-13 players per team.  Continuous batting orders are used and defensive substitution rules are in place to keep playing time at a maximum for all players.  The season concludes with a double elimination tournament and teams will usually play a total of 17-22 games for the entire season.
